Mindfulness Wales is holding an online vent on Tuesday 6 February with Professor Lord Richard Layard on how it might be possible to “influence policymakers and take the initiative at community level to enhance the happiness and wellbeing of organisations and communities in Wales”.

The organisers say: “This promises to be a beacon of hope and common sense in the midst of the troubles we can’t help but be aware of locally and on a worldwide level. There is so much we can’t influence – so let’s look at what we can do to enhance lives and inspire hope wherever we can.

“Richard Layard has been calling on policymakers and business leaders to put wellbeing at the heart of decision-making for over 20 years and has put this call into action through research, publications and as co-founder of Action for Happiness and the World Wellbeing Movement.”

There will be a follow up meeting for some more informal discussion about the possibilities on Monday 19 February at 7pm.

Professor Lord Richard Layard is founding director of the Centre for Economic Performance, LSE.
