Graham Brace has produced a variety of illustrations for the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority over the past two decades

Adding’s newydd Graham Brace yn arddangos dau ddegawd o ddarluniau’r Parc Cenedlaethol

Mae arddangosfa newydd yn Oriel a Chanolfan Ymwelwyr Oriel y Parc yn Nhyddewi yn dwyn ynghyd, am y tro cyntaf erioed, werth dau ddegawd o ddarluniau gwreiddiol gan Graham Brace, arlunydd/darlunydd o Langwm.

Mae Celf yn y Parc yn cynnwys darluniau sydd i gyd wedi cael eu comisiynu gan Awdurdod Parc Cenedlaethol Arfordir Penfro dros yr 20 mlynedd diwethaf, gan ymddangos ar baneli gwybodaeth a thaflenni i helpu ymwelwyr i archwilio’r ardal a deall mwy am rinweddau arbennig y Parc.

Yn ogystal â dangos lleoliadau eiconig o amgylch Sir Benfro, mae’r arddangosfa hefyd yn cynnwys darluniau mawr o olygfeydd manwl o’r awyr, wedi’u hategu gan ddarluniau llai o nodweddion diddorol ym mhob lleoliad.

Dywedodd Rachel Perkins, Rheolwr Oriel y Parc: “Deilliodd y syniad ar gyfer Celf yn y Parc o sgwrs a gafwyd tra oeddem yn cynnal arddangosfa o brintiau celf cyfyngedig Graham. Daeth hyd a lled ei berthynas hir ag Awdurdod y Parc Cenedlaethol i’r amlwg, a’r ffaith ei fod wedi cadw’r holl waith celf yn ddiogel. Rydyn ni’n falch iawn o gynnig y cyfle hwn i weld gwaith gwreiddiol Graham yn y cnawd.”

Gan dynnu sylw at y rôl bwysig mae darluniau yn ei chwarae wrth gyflwyno gwybodaeth, ychwanegodd Graham Brace: “Rwy’n gobeithio bod yr arddangosfa hon yn dangos y gellir defnyddio celf fel addurn, ond hefyd mewn modd ymarferol a llawn gwybodaeth.”

Bydd arddangosfa Celf yn y Parc gan Graham Brace i’w gweld yn Oriel y Parc tan ddydd Sul 25 Chwefror. Bydd yr arddangosfa ar agor bob dydd, rhwng 9.30am a 4.30pm, a bydd detholiad o brintiau celf cyfyngedig hefyd yn cael eu harddangos.

A new exhibition at Oriel y Parc Gallery and Visitor Centre in St Davids is bringing together, for the first time, two decades’ worth of original illustrations by Llangwm-based artist/illustrator Graham Brace.

Art and the Park comprises illustrations that have all been commissioned by the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority over the past 20 years, appearing on information panels and leaflets to help visitors explore the area and understand more about the park’s special qualities.

As well as showcasing locations around Pembrokeshire, the exhibition includes large detailed aerial views, supported by smaller drawings of features of interest at each location.

Manager of Oriel y Parc Rachel Perkins said: “The idea for Art and the Park arose from a chance conversation while hosting an exhibition of Graham’s limited-edition art prints. The extent of his long relationship with the National Park Authority came to light and that he’d safely kept all the artwork. We’re delighted to offer this opportunity to view Graham’s original work up close.”

Highlighting the important role played by illustrations in presenting information, Graham Brace said: ‘‘I hope that this exhibition shows simply not just the decorative use of art but also its practical and informative function.”

Art and the Park by Graham Brace will be at Oriel y Parc until Sunday 25 February. The exhibition will be open daily between 9.30am and 4.30pm with a selection of limited-edition art prints also on display.
