Gwneud i bob milltir gyfrif yng nghystadleuaeth IRONMAN eleni

Wrth i gyfnod y Nadolig ddod i ben, ac i bobl droi eu sylw at Flwyddyn Newydd fwy heini a daionus, mae Ymddiriedolaeth Elusennol Arfordir Penfro yn cynnig cyfle unigryw i gadw’n heini a chodi arian ar gyfer achos teilwng.

Mae pedwar lle ar gael yn rhad ac am ddim yng nghystadleuaeth IRONMAN Cymru eleni, a fydd yn cael ei chynnal yn ne’r sir ddydd Sul 22 Medi 2024.

Fis Medi yma, bydd y digwyddiad poblogaidd yn croesawu miloedd o bobl a fydd yn rhoi cynnig ar nofio 2.4 milltir, beicio am 112 milltir, a rhedeg marathon ar hyd rhai o lwybrau mwyaf heriol de Sir Benfro.

Dywedodd Katie Macro, Cyfarwyddwr Ymddiriedolaeth Elusennol Arfordir Penfro: “Gan fod pob lle ar gyfer cofrestru wedi’u cymryd, dyma gyfle euraidd nid yn unig i gymryd rhan yn y digwyddiad eiconig hwn, ond hefyd i gael effaith barhaol ar warchod ein tirweddau arfordirol godidog.

“Os ydych chi’n frwd dros awyr agored Sir Benfro, ac yn mwynhau ymgymryd â heriau corfforol, cysylltwch â ni.

“Byddai angen i’r rhai sydd awydd ymgymryd â’r her ymrwymo i godi isafswm o £750, a byddai angen i’r Ymddiriedolaeth dderbyn y swm llawn a addawyd erbyn diwedd mis Awst.”

Os hoffech chi fanteisio ar y cynnig i hawlio eich lle yn y ras yn rhad ac am ddim, dylech anfon eich datganiadau o ddiddordeb at support@pembrokeshirecoasttrust.wales.

Pembrokeshire Coast Charitable Trust is offering an opportunity to get in shape and raise money for a worthy cause.

Four free entries are available for this year’s Ironman Wales competition, which is set to take place in the south of the county on Sunday 22 September.

The event will see thousands of people take on the 2.4-mile swim, 112 miles of cycling and a marathon on foot along some of South Pembrokeshire’s most challenging routes.

Katie Macro, director of Pembrokeshire Coast Charitable Trust, said: “With general registration for the competition now sold out, this represents a golden opportunity to not only take part in this iconic event, but also to make a lasting impact on the preservation of our stunning coastal landscapes.

“If you’re passionate about Pembrokeshire’s great outdoors and love to tackle tough physical challenges, then please get in touch.

“Those interested in taking up the challenge would need to commit to raising a minimum of £750, and the Trust would need to receive the full amount pledged by the end of August.”
