DIGWYDDIADAU AM DDIM YN Y TORCH, DIOLCH I ARIAN GAN Y LOTERI CENEDLAETHOL

Mae Theatr y Torch yn falch o gyhoeddi rhaglen newydd sbon o ddigwyddiadau RHAD AC AM DDIM rhwng mis Ionawr a Mawrth. Diolch i gefnogaeth Cronfa Gymunedol y Loteri Genedlaethol, mae’r Torch wedi llunio rhaglen gyffrous o ddigwyddiadau creadigol ar gyfer y gymuned, sy’n cynnig dihangfa o ddyddiau oer y gaeaf, ac a fydd yn caniatáu i chi brofi brand lletygarwch gwirioneddol unigryw Theatr y Torch.

Mae’r sesiynau bob pythefnos yn ystod y dydd wedi’u hanelu’n bennaf at y rheiny yng nghymuned Sir Benfro sy’n 60 oed a hŷn, ond mae croeso i bob un ohonoch. Cynhelir yr holl sesiynau yn Oriel Joanna Field yn Theatr y Torch gan gynnig rhywbeth at ddant pawb.

Tim Howe, Arweinydd Ieuenctid a Chymuned Theatr y Torch sy’n esbonio mwy:

“Bydd y gweithgareddau creadigol dan arweiniad proffesiynol yn cynnwys celf a chrefft, gweithdai drama, Zumba, a chlwb llyfrau sy’n gysylltiedig â’n rhaglenni sinema a theatr. Ymhlith y gweithgareddau eraill sydd ar gael mae mynediad i lyfrgell chwarae Theatr y Torch sy’n cynnwys amryw o ddramâu, a blwch teganau gwych i blant a chornel lliwio.”

Bydd Caffi’r Torch yn gartref i ‘Bwrdd Sgwrsio’ lle bydd aelodau o Dîm y Torch ar gael bob pythefnos i chi ddod i’w hadnabod a siarad am beth bynnag y dymunwch.

Ychwanegodd Tim: “Rydym wrth ein bodd i gael ein cefnogi gan Gronfa Gymunedol y Loteri Genedlaethol, a fydd yn ein galluogi i ddarparu ystod wych o weithgareddau creadigol am ddim i’n cymuned.

“Fel canolfan gelfyddydau Sir Benfro, rydyn ni’n gwybod y rôl hanfodol rydyn ni’n ei chwarae i nifer o aelodau ein cymuned, fel lle i greu a chysylltu. Rydym hefyd yn ymwybodol ein bod yn adnodd dinesig y dylai pawb allu cael mynediad ato. Mae’r cyllid hwn yn ceisio gwella’r berthynas honno ac agor ein drysau i fwy fyth o bobl ar adeg pan mae cyllid yn cael ei wasgu.

“Rydyn ni’n gwybod bod aelodau hŷn ein cymuned a theuluoedd wedi cael eu heffeithio’n anghymesur gan bandemig COVID-19 a’r argyfwng costau byw. Trwy gynnig y cyfle i’n cymuned gael mynediad i gysylltiadau creadigol diogel a rheolaidd gydag eraill, gobeithiwn y byddwn yn cefnogi iechyd meddwl a llesiant pawb.”

Yn ogystal â’r holl weithgareddau yma, mae gan Theatr y Torch hanner tymor llawn hwyl ym mis Chwefror o bethau gwych i’r teulu eu gwneud. Ochr yn ochr â’r gweithgareddau rheolaidd sydd eisoes wedi eu crybwyll, bydd celf a chrefft i’r teulu, Zumba i’r teulu a hyd yn oed bore drama Cymraeg gyntaf Theatr y Torch o’r enw Theatr Gymraeg sy’n addas i bawb!

Mae’r holl sesiynau yn ystod yr wythnos yn digwydd am 10.30am – 12pm ar ddydd Mawrth, dydd Mercher a dydd Iau o’r 9fed o Ionawr. Edrychwch ar wefan Theatr y Torch, postiadau cyfryngau cymdeithasol, taflenni a phosteri am fanylion dyddiadau ac amserau y pethau sydd o ddiddordeb mwyaf i chi.

The Torch Theatre, Milford Haven, has a programme of free events running during January and through to March. Thanks to the support of the National Lottery Community Fund, the Torch has put together an exciting programme of creative events for the community which, it says, offers an escape from the cold, wintry days.

The fortnightly daytime sessions are primarily aimed at those in the Pembrokeshire community aged 60 and over, but everyone is welcome. All sessions will take place in the Torch Theatre’s Joanna Field Gallery.

Tim Howe, the theatre’s youth and community lead said: “The professionally led creative activities will include arts and crafts, drama workshops, Zumba, and a book club linked to our cinema and theatre programming. Other activities on offer include access to the Torch Theatre’s play library featuring a range of plays, and a fabulous children’s toybox and colouring corner.”

The Torch Café will be home to a ‘Conversation Table’ where every two weeks members of the Torch Team will be available to talk.

Tim said: “We are thrilled to be supported by the National Lottery Community Fund, which will enable us to provide a fantastic range of free creative activity for our community.

“As the arts centre for Pembrokeshire, we know the vital role we play for many members of our community as a space to create and connect. We are also aware that we are a civic resource which everyone should be able to access. This funding seeks to better that relationship and throw open our doors to even more people at a time when finances are being squeezed.

“We know that older members of our community and families have been disproportionately affected by the pandemic and the cost-of-living crisis. We hope that by offering our community the opportunity to access safe and regular creative connections with others that we will support everyone’s mental health and wellbeing.”

In addition to all this activity, the Torch Theatre has a fun-filled February half-term of fantastic family things to do. Alongside the previously mentioned regular activities, there will be family arts and crafts, family Zumba and even the Torch Theatre’s first Welsh language drama morning for everyone called Theatr Gymraeg.

All of the weekday sessions run from 10.30am to 12 noon Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9 January. Check out the Torch Theatre’s website, social media posts, flyers and posters for details of dates and times of the things that interest you the most.
