Another Community Business Success

There’s a growing number of community cooperative businesses now in West Wales.

These include the Tafarn Sinc in Rosebush, the White Hart in St Dogmaels, Tafarn y Vale in South Ceredigion, and the Cross Inn at Hayscastle; and joining them very soon will be the Crymych Arms.

This north Pembrokeshire pub has been out of action for the past two years but that is all set to change as a team of volunteers puts the final plans into action. The pub will be run by a full-time manager, a grants manager and other staff.

PLANED, the community development charity, has been supporting the venture, believing that it is important for communities to be able to own and retain local buildings and businesses, offering solid employment for local people and a way to keep communities thriving.

Kitty has forgotten how long she has been here now but she loves Pembrokeshire for its beauty and it's people. She spends her time searching out stories for pembrokeshire.online, swimming in the sea , drawing and painting as Snorkelfish and eating cake. She says "Pembrokeshire.online has been an opportunity to celebrate this beautiful county and its people. Keep the stories coming. We love to hear from you."
