Spring has Sprung at Dyffryn Fernant

Sunday 14 May sees the first National Garden Scheme opening of the season at Dyffryn Fernant.

Christina Shand says: “All takings on this day will go to support the various NGS charities, so please do come along and support them.

“We opened up for visitors at the beginning of April, and everywhere is full of spring energy and excitement.

“There are all sorts of little treasures springing up behind the house. We have been working on this spring bank for several years and now we are being rewarded. It is a sheer delight.

“The hellebores have been cut back and the species tulips, wood anemonies, erythroniums and epimediums have arrived. The ferns are only just beginning, getting ready to take over later on. And our swallows have returned!”

Garden entrance tickets are available to buy online on the Dyffryn Fernant website.
Prices are £7 per person, and children (under-16s) enter for free.
Annual season tickets also available – £20 per person or £35 for two.

Opening hours are 12-5pm, for six days each week, closed only on Saturdays; open every day on bank holiday weekends.
