Os ydych chi’n frwdfrydig dros awyr agored Sir Benfro ac wrth eich bodd yn cyflawni profion corfforol anodd, mae gan Ymddiriedolaeth Parc Cenedlaethol Arfordir Penfro gyfle i godi arian a fydd yn eich helpu i dicio’r ddau flwch.

Mae’r Ymddiriedolaeth yn cynnig nifer gyfyngedig o gynigion am ddim i IRONMAN Cymru 2023, a fydd yn golygu bod miloedd o bobl yn rhoi cynnig ar nofio 2.4 milltir, beicio am 112 milltir a rhedeg/cerdded marathon ar hyd rhai o lwybrau mwyaf heriol De Sir Benfro fis Medi yma.

Dywedodd Elsa Davies LVO, Cadeirydd Ymddiriedolaeth Arfordir Penfro: “Rydyn ni’n falch iawn o allu rhoi cyfle i bobl gymryd rhan yn y digwyddiad poblogaidd hwn, sydd bellach yn rhan o galendr chwaraeon Sir Benfro.

“Gydag IRONMAN Cymru yn cynnwys lefelau uchel o gyfranogiad lleol, byddai’n gyfle gwych i drigolion Sir Benfro yn y gorffennol a’r presennol gymryd rhan yn y digwyddiad a chefnogi achos a fydd yn diogelu ein Parc Cenedlaethol ac yn gwneud yn siŵr bod mwy o bobl yn gallu mwynhau ei awyr agored yn y dyfodol.”

Dywedodd Sandra Jones, sydd eisoes wedi cofrestru: “Rydw i eisiau codi arian i ddiogelu’r Parc Cenedlaethol ar gyfer cenedlaethau’r dyfodol a sicrhau ei fod yn hygyrch i bawb.

“Rwyf wastad wedi mwynhau rhedeg, ond mae hyn yn fy ngwthio i gamu i fyd anghyfarwydd. Dyma’r flwyddyn o her i mi, triathlon bob mis yn arwain at IRONMAN 70.3 Abertawe ac yna’n wynebu’r her fwyaf – IRONMAN Cymru.”

Rhaid i’r rheini sydd â diddordeb mewn ymgymryd â’r her ymrwymo i godi o leiaf £500, a byddai angen i’r Ymddiriedolaeth dderbyn yr addewid erbyn 26 Mehefin 2023.

If you’re passionate about Pembrokeshire’s great outdoors and love to tackle tough physical tests, the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Trust has a fundraising opportunity that will help you tick both boxes.

The Trust is offering a limited number of free entries for Ironman Wales 2023, which will see thousands of people take on the 2.4-mile swim, 112 miles of cycling and a marathon on foot along some of South Pembrokeshire’s most challenging routes this September.

Pembrokeshire Coast Trust chair Elsa Davies said: “We’re delighted to be able to provide people with the opportunity to enter this popular event, which has become a fixture in the Pembrokeshire sporting calendar.

“With Ironman Wales featuring high levels of local participation, it would be a great opportunity for Pembrokeshire residents past and present to take part in the event and support a cause that will protect our National Park and make sure more people can enjoy its outdoors in the future.”

Sandra Jones, who has already signed up, said: “I want to raise funds to protect the National Park for future generations and ensure it is accessible to all.

“I’ve always enjoyed running but this is really pushing me outside of my comfort zone. This is the year of challenge for me, a triathlon every month leading up to Swansea Ironman 70.3 and then facing the ultimate – Ironman Wales.”

Those interested in taking up the challenge must commit to raise a minimum of £500, and the Trust would need to receive the pledge by 26 June.
