Many Pembrokeshire folks have found the restricted train services a problem for some time, so it’s great news that 15 May is the date when many services are due to return and extra services will be available.

There will be six extra services between Swansea and West Wales. The current return services between Pembroke Dock and Carmarthen is being extended to Swansea, and an additional return service will operate between Pembroke Dock and Tenby.

Wales and Borders rail network has returned a number of services that were removed from the timetable as a result of the pandemic. These include three more return services to and from Fishguard Harbour.

An early-morning service between Shrewsbury and Llandrindod, and an extra early-morning service between Swansea and Llandovery will also be available  from the Heart of Wales Line.

Customers are urged to check travel details before travelling and to be aware that as we enter the summer period the trains will be very busy

Brand new trains for the Wales and Borders network will begin to appear on the May-December timetable on routes in North Wales and the Borders during the summer.
