Bundles of Beauty

Local artist Sally Green has been working with the Wednesday group at the VC Gallery in Haverfordwest on Bundle Dyeing.

The group which meets at the gallery every Wednesday between 12 noon and 2pm  has been using the method, also known as eco printing, to create remarkable designs.

The method involves laying plant material, such as leaves, flowers, bark and even food, onto fabric. This is then rolled (or bundled), tied with  string and steamed or immersed in hot water.

If you are interested in learning more and maybe taking part in some of Sally’s other workshops, also involving plant materials, contact the VC Gallery. The workshops are free and open to everyone.

The VC Gallery uses art as a creative medium for reducing social exclusion and increasing confidence among a wide range of people in the local community. They offer a chance for people from all walks of life to express themselves through art.
