The museum in Haverfordwest closed in 2023 with the intention that it would reopen when construction work was completed at Haverfordwest Castle, which would become it’s new home.

A temporary museum funded by the UK’s Shared Prosperity Fund is due to ‘pop up’ over the Easter break in the old Game store in the Riverside Shopping Centre. It is expected that this will be the museum’s home until 2027.

Housing all kinds of  fascinating artifacts, the museum will be open all year for six days a week, Monday to Saturday, 10am-4pm.

Some items dating from medieval times, as well as paintings and displays concerning musicians, artists and explorers, and other items of local interest will change regularly and will include interactive displays. There are also plans for a shop selling Haverfordwest-themed items.
