Vanuary – a Surprising Month

Here’s a delightful bit of news from AMANDA C EVANS, founder and driving force behind Homeless Pembrokeshire

What month is it? It’s Vanuary!
For over three and a half years, GRS Motor Group in Milford Haven has supplied Homeless Pembrokeshire with a van free of charge. As I write this, it is the 11th of Vanuary, and GRS renewed its pledge to Homeless Pembrokeshire and to all the people of Pembrokeshire by supplying a brand new, shiny Berlingo van. It’s white and just gorgeous. This act of altruistic generosity was in itself enormous and Steve, Jamie and all at GRS are just the most amazing people.
But there’s more…
Yesterday the day started with a trip to the impressive GRS Motor Group’s headquarters where Steve and Jamie met us and took us around the courtyard, looking at all the vehicles.
Steve said: “What do you want, a big one, small one, or an estate… what do you need?”
We looked around and decided that we did not need a really big van, and we chose the Berlingo van.
All settled? Not quite. Steve turned to me and said: “Take a car as well”, and before we could even comprehend and process such generosity, William, with a tear in his eye, was choosing the colour of a brand-new Kia Picanto car.
That was yesterday.
Today, we went back over to GRS, and picked up both vehicles, valeted and immaculate. We plan to get them all liveried up in Homeless Pembrokeshire style and panache, but that’s another story for another day.
We cannot thank Steve and all at GRS Motor Group enough for their support – support which allows Homeless Pembrokeshire to not just impact lives but in some circumstances change them. Thanks Steve Grimes and GRS.
