Happy Christmas to All Our Readers

My grandfather always used to bang on about “man’s inumanity to man”… If he were alive now, he would have plenty to talk about.

The sad truth is that human beings seem to have an apparently endless capacity for violence against one another. Has anything changed between the tribal wars of prehistory and the Gaza conflict of today? Perhaps only the technology involved.

But most of us also know that humans are capable of love and caring and generosity.

Whatever our denomination or non-denomination, our religion or non-religion, maybe we can all light a candle in our lives and in the lives of others and hope for some illumination in the darkness of this winter.

Let’s all say a prayer for peace on earth this Christmas.

+ We’ll be back in January with our usual coverage of all things Pembrokeshire-related.
