To Park or Not to Park
Newport Sands, or Traeth Mawr as the area is also known, was purchased by Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority this year and it soon announced that the beach would no longer allow motor vehicles to park on the sands.
This proved to be a contentious matter which raised accusations that disabled and elderly people were being discriminated against, and the National Park has responded by asking people to complete a questionnaire to better resolve the concerns.
The questionnaire can be found on the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority website. The survey will close on 17 November 17.

Are disabled parking bays in the right place?
Are bus stop/drop-off bays/loading areas suitable for your needs?
Is the surface friendly for your mobility needs?
Do you need mobility equipment such as a beach wheelchair? What kind would be most beneficial to you?
Are there any activities you would like to see hosted?
If you do not visit, why not? What would encourage you in the future?
