Creative Women Take Over the Seagull

The Seagull Gallery in Cardigan will soon be taken over by creative women.

There will be exhibitions in the lower gallery by Maya Mitten (local DJ and collage artist) and Louise John
(portrait artist). The upstairs gallery will be bursting with a group of women creatives – glass, print, pottery, poetry, jewellery.

Gallery owner Lou Weldon says: “We wanted to highlight the talent of women makers here in west Wales. This really is a collaborative project and we welcome creators from any medium, any studio or kitchen table.

“I am hoping this will be a biannual event giving a platform to women in art,”
