Arts Council Supports the Torch

 

While it is not the complete solution to the financial difficulties of Milford Haven’s Torch Theatre, almost £2 million from Arts Council of Wales is being very gratefully received. The funding will begin in April 2024 and will be paid over the next three years.

Pembrokeshire.Online wrote recently about funding cuts from the County Council which have exacerbated financial problems brought about by covid and the economic challenges that have caused a huge drop in audiences enjoying the theatre over the past 12 months.

A spokesperson for the theatre has expressed delight at the Arts Council grant but warns that there is still a need for the community to show support by coming to the theatre and enjoying the many productions that are planned
