Riding for Disabled: Volunteers Needed
The Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) works with more than 17,000 disabled children and adults. Through many fun activities such as riding and carriage driving, it helps to improve the lives of disabled people through therapy, fitness and development of other skills.
The work is undertaken at around 500 RDA centres all over the UK by about 13,000 valued volunteers and qualified coaches.
The organisation prides itself on its inclusivity and welcomes disabled people from all walks of life and all ages.
The North Pembrokeshire and Cardigan RDA meets on a Thursday morning in term time at Hanna Harvard’s yard in Dinas Cross and is seeking new volunteers who can spare a few hours to support the disabled riders who gain so much from their time with the horses.
