Nominate Your Volunteer Heroes

The PAVS (Pembrokeshire Association of Voluntary Services) Volunteer Awards 2023 are open for nominations.  The awards celebrate the outstanding contributions to society and community life across Pembrokeshire and the special difference they have made to people’s lives. Nominations must be received by 12 noon on 29 September.

A spokesperson for PAVS says: “Within your own organisation have you thought about nominating one of your own volunteers for an award? Is there someone who volunteers for another organisation who you feel is going the extra mile to help people or that organisation with their volunteering?”

There are seven categories for nominations this year:

  1. Group Award Over 25 – for a group of volunteers within one organisation (volunteers aged primarily over 25)
  2. Mike Beckett Youth Award – for a group of young volunteers within one organisation (volunteers aged primarily under 25)
  3. PAVS Long Service Award – for volunteers who have put in many years of dedicated volunteering.
  4. The Mary Sigley Award– where volunteering has made a difference to the life of the volunteer.
  5. Trustee/Board Award – either individual trustees or trustee boards who have provided outstanding management to their organisation.
  6. Volunteer of the Year Award (individual over 25).
  7. Young Volunteer of the Year Award (individual under 25).

Finalists will be contacted by PAVS and invited to attend an Awards Ceremony on 16 November, supported by South Hook LNG and held at the Queens Hall in Narberth.

You can nominate your volunteer/s via a paper document (Word), online via Microsoft forms or by video – contact louise.wilkinson@pavs.org.uk for guidance before recording a video nomination.
