Sponsor a Virtual Seat to Raise Cash for Theatre

Theatr Gwaun in Fishguard began life as a Temperance Hall in 1885 and was a theatre/cinema run by the local authority, for many years.

When it was threatened with closure over 10 years ago, the community came to the rescue. It survived the pandemic lockdown and in 2023 is firing on all cylinders with a varied and interesting programme of events.

All of this costs money and the theatre has come up with various ways to raise funds, its 200 Club being the latest.

The 200 Club is just one way to support the venue and its work. This fundraising lottery gives you an opportunity to sponsor a virtual seat in the auditorium and have a chance to win £200 if your seat is picked in the draw.

From £15 per year, you can choose one of the theatre’s seats as your lottery number. Each one of the allocated ‘seats’ is entered into the quarterly draw. Winners will receive either a cash prize or a Theatr Gwaun voucher.

Half the money raised goes towards the theatre’s technology improvement programme and supporting investment in the sound and lighting systems, and half the money goes in prizes.

All you have to do is choose a seat number/s from the virtual auditorium, then visit the box office or phone 01348 873421.
