Great news for Theatr Gwaun in Fishguard… It has just been awarded a grant by the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority, from the Sustainable Development Fund, which will enable it to install a battery storage facility for its solar panels. This will mean that the energy generated during the day can be used in the evenings, when the majority of its events are scheduled.

The installation of 54 solar panels on the West Street face of the theatre’s roof was made possible in 2021 by the Sustainable Development Fund.

The new grant has been welcomed as an aid to the theatre continuing the commitment to reducing its carbon footprint and operating sustainably.
