There’s great news for Haverfordwest’s Palace Cinema. Sinema Palace, an independent cinema operator based in Essex, has just signed a lease with Pembrokeshire County Council and the aim is to have the place back up and running  before the end of the Easter holidays.

The company’s owner, Alejandro Whyatt, will be refurbishing and improving the former Corn Exchange and now listed building, beginning with an improvement to sound and picture quality.

Mr Whyatt’s family has been in the business of renovating and operating similar venues for some generations and currently runs other independent cinemas in older buildings in Essex, North Wales and Norfolk.

The first film to be screened is planned to be the new Super Mario Bros. Movie.
