Celebration of Ancient Connections

Brass on the Breakwater

Following last year’s pioneering festival, On Land’s Edge/Ar Ymyl y Tir, is back.

Once again it will bring outstanding professional artists, writers and musicians from Wales and the world, together with a wealth of local talent, to create and present new work in a variety of indoor and outdoor locations.

On Land’s Edge/Ar Ymyl y Tir is a festival of all the arts embedded in an intimate engagement with the landscape, nature, history and people of North Pembrokeshire, celebrating the innate creativity of people who live here in art, music, literature, drama and film, as well as our links across the sea with Ireland.

Based in Theatr Gwaun but using a range of venues around Fishguard and Goodwick, the festival opens on the evening of Thursday 22 September with Spirit of Water, Heart of Stone – a lyrical, dramatic performance of storytelling and improvised music, and closes on Sunday 25 September with a performance of new music by a distinguished Irish composer.

Kitty Parsons

Kitty has forgotten how long she has been here now but she loves Pembrokeshire for its beauty and it's people. She spends her time searching out stories for pembrokeshire.online, swimming in the sea , drawing and painting as Snorkelfish and eating cake. She says "Pembrokeshire.online has been an opportunity to celebrate this beautiful county and its people. Keep the stories coming. We love to hear from you."
