Narberth store window – 40 th Anniversary display
Hospice at Home charity the Paul Sartori Foundation has 10 retail stores across Pembrokeshire. They offer a range of secondhand quality goods, and specialise in items such as upcycled furniture.
The retail sales generate 40-50% of the income needed for the Foundation to run its clinical services.
Recently, Diana Shepherd a freelance artist and co-founder of arts and wellbeing organisation All Being Well,
painted a window of a local community building in Narberth, which was an effective way of drawing attention to
the hub. This led Diana to contact Paul Sartori and offer to paint a design on the window of its retail store
in Narberth.
“The finished painting includes bunting to represent some of the colours of Paul Sartori and also refers to the bunting in Narberth town,” said Diana. “Sunflowers are used to represent hospices; white doves symbolise peace, love and hope. “My aim was to create eyecatching and joyful artwork which hopefully attracts interest and draws people to the shop.”

Eluned Morgan, Minister for Health and Social Services in the Welsh Government, recently visited Paul Sartori’s main offices for a tour of the building and to learn about its services.
David Evans, chair of the trustees at Paul Sartori, said: “It was great to meet the Health Minister to discuss and explain how the advance care planning funded by GP practices is doing so much to help people make their end-of-life care decisions. The Minister was impressed with all aspects of the work of the foundation.”
