Tea with Sian – 4: Crafty Latte

by Sian Walker

Crafty Latte in Tenby is a family-run business that includes an artisan coffee shop with delicious cakes and soups.

There are also local crafters’ goodies such as jewellery, candles, soaps and decorative glassware, plus items you might not expect: Lego, Diamond Painting sets and Warhammer items .

Some of the crafters who exhibit their work in the shop:

Candlier is a candle/wax melts business and was set up just over six months ago. It prides itself on its long-lasting highly scented products. While Pembrokeshire has been the owners’ home for over 46 years, they have had a busy and productive six months of trading locally and also further afield. I can personally recommend the products as I was one of the testers before they were put on the shelves. They really do smell great. Get in touch via the Facebook page, Candlier.

Soapbee Pembrokeshire started up after Callie began making her own simple gentle soap for her children’s eczema-prone skin. She has been hooked since making and trying her first batch, and her business has grown from there. These soaps have no hidden chemicals or nasties in them. All colours and infusions being made from natural ingredients, they  have excellent benefits for the skin. You can also be assured  that ingredients are ethically sourced and sustainable and you won’t find any plastic packaging on the products. Why not try her new range of Castile soaps, including the luxurious Tudor Rose, or the new organic Pembrokeshire seaweed soaps. You can get in touch via her Facebook page, Soapbee Pembrokeshire.

And then there is Sian Lou decorative glassware – in which I have to declare an interest! I have always been interested in art and enjoy many creative pastimes but have only recently started using acrylic pouring on glassware. I really love the effects the medium has, because no two items are identical. My work ranges from the bright and the bold to the cool, calming colours of the sea and sand – which are a big inspiration.

She spends her time searching out stories for pembrokeshire.online, swimming in the sea , drawing and painting as Snorkelfish and eating cake. She says "Pembrokeshire.online has been an opportunity to celebrate this beautiful county and its people. Keep the stories coming. We love to hear from you."
