Free Training Courses for Volunteers

It says: “There have been some really interesting new roles advertised recently, and opportunities that have re-opened (return to face-to-face), however if you have not been able to find something to suit you, please do get in touch (details below).”

It would also like to remind you about the free training that volunteers in Pembrokeshire can access:

Free spaces on Youth Mental Health First Aid Course are available for Volunteers in Pembrokeshire (last chance to attend in July).

The YMHFA (Wales) course teaches adults who have frequent contact with young people, such as parents, guardians, school staff, sport coaches and youth workers, how to assist young people who are developing a mental health problem, experiencing a worsening of a mental health problem or in a mental health crisis.

Participants must be available for all sessions and have time to complete self-study in between sessions with the tutor.

You must be 18-plus to attend this course and volunteer with/ alongside young people in Pembrokeshire.

Learning takes place via self-directed online modules and group webinars.

The dates/times are 10am-12.30pm on 7 and 14 July.

Anyone wishing to register for the online course needs to do so by 20 June.

Kitty Parsons

Kitty has forgotten how long she has been here now but she loves Pembrokeshire for its beauty and it's people. She spends her time searching out stories for pembrokeshire.online, swimming in the sea , drawing and painting as Snorkelfish and eating cake. She says "Pembrokeshire.online has been an opportunity to celebrate this beautiful county and its people. Keep the stories coming. We love to hear from you."
