Sea Trust Recycles Fishing Gear

Volunteers help to sort discarded fishing gear and plastics to be repurposed

Sea Trust Wales has a newsletter that is full of good news. Here is an excerpt. For more details, follow the link below.

“We are excited to announce our new fundraiser for Recycle Môr, a project that aims to recover and recycle end-of-life fishing gear (ghost gear) and plastics. These can have devastating effects on wildlife, not only in Pembrokeshire, but around the world.

“As part of the Save our Wild Isles Community Fund with Aviva, we have launched our six-week appeal to raise £5,000 to help keep our Recycle Môr project afloat.

“Aviva is matching some donations – which means if you donate £10 the project may receive £20.

“We have currently raised £4,102. Can you help us reach our goal?”
