Coming and Going at Sea Life Trust
The Sea Trust in Goodwick has been saying a sad goodbye to Hannah, who has been its Aquarium host over the summer. It’s wishing her well as she returns to her studies at Bangor University. The Trust’s latest newsletter sings her praises, saying it would not be what it is today without her hard work and dedication. She will be greatly missed, not only for her knowledge of marine wildlife but also for her amazing personality.
While greatly saddened by her leaving, the rest of the team are celebrating welcoming five new interns: Annabelle, Megan, Hannah D, Hannah GB and Gemma.
Annabelle is a marine biologist who is a student at Swansea University. Megan is studying ocean science and marine conservation at Plymouth University. Hannah D is a student of marine and freshwater biology at Aberystwyth University. Hannah GB is a zoology student from Harper Adams University. And Gemma is studying animal science at Coleg Sir Gâr.
The new folk will be helping out with tours and talks, manning the front desk and taking care of the Aquarium, not to mention keeping up with the surveys at Strumble Head where sightings of harbour porpoises, common dolphins, Risso’s dolphins and grey seals are a regular, exciting occurrence.
