Mae’r Afon Teifi yn llifo trwy galon Ceredigion ac mae’n dioddef.

Afon sy’n byrlymu efo bywyd gwyllt, fflora, pobl a hanes.

Mae’r arddangosfa hon yn amlygu ei phrydferthwch a hefyd ei dioddef oherwydd llygredd.

Arddangosfa ffotograffiaeth gan Fred Skilton yn yr is-galeri ac i fyny’r grisiau arddangosfa grŵp yn cynnwys gwaith celf, cerameg, print, gwaith gwydr, ffilm a barddoniaeth.  Bydd artistiaid a phobl greadigol lleol yn cyflwyno eu meddyliau am a pherthnasau efo’r Afon Teifi.

Darlleniad gan Simone Mansell-Broome o’i cherdd newydd ‘An Elegy, A Song’ (bardd lleol arobryn cyhoeddedig) a pherfformiad o gân wedi ei hysgrifennu’n arbennig gan Piers Partridge & River Matthews – ‘Leave Them a River’.

Darlleniadau o farddoniaeth yn seiliedig ar afonydd o feirdd lleol (i gyd yn rhan o’r arddangosfa).

Art on Troubled Waters

photography – art – print – poetry – glass – ceramics

Afon Teifi flows through the heart of Ceredigion and is suffering.

A river brimming with wildlife, flora, people and history.

This exhibition highlights its beauty and also its suffering due to pollution.

A photography exhibition by Fred Skilton in the lower gallery and upstairs a group show comprising of art, ceramics, print, glass, film and poetry. Local artists and creatives will be presenting their thoughts and relationship with Afon Teifi.

Private view: Friday 8 September 6pm – 9pm.

A reading by Simone Mansell-Broome of her new poem ‘An Elegy, A Song’ (local award-winning, published poet) and a performance of a specially written song by Piers Partridge & River Matthews ‘Leave Them a River’.

Poetry Evening: Wednesday 27 September 6pm – 9 pm.

Readings of river-based poetry from local poets (all part of the exhibition).

The Seagull, Cardigan SA43 1HA, 6 September to 6 October.

Free to enter, 11am to 3 pm, Wed to Sat.
