Remembering Hiroshima

Pembrokeshire Peace Group and Quakers from Milford Haven Meeting are organising a gathering at Haverbub, Quay Street, Haverforwest, with an exhibition about Hiroshima. This will take place at 8pm on 6 August, the anniversary of the nuclear bombing of the city.

Lanterns for floating will be prepared in the big room at the back of the venue. These will be taken across the river by the footbridge between Quay Street and County Hall at sunset and will be launched from there at the area accessed from the County Hall side.

Those who are only attending the lantern launch should look at this shot of Google maps showing Haverhub on the left and the bridge with the place where the lanterns are put into the water marked:
