Youth Centre Appeals for Help
It says: “We would like to make it very clear that POINT is not closing, but there will be some big changes to the services that we provide ongoing.
“It is with deep regret that we have to let you all know that our Printworks building must be let go of, along with our Nurturing the Future project, which offers free counselling to young people, mentoring and youth mental health first aid. These services will cease from the end of August.
“Our drop-in will remain, however we will need to restructure the provision. We are not sure as yet what changes will need to be made to the drop-in. But it is important for everyone to know that POINT is not closing fully. And we will keep you all updated.
“Over the coming weeks, we will be launching a fundraising campaign. POINT has been supporting young people for 22 years, and now more than ever we need the support from the community in order to keep the provision going.
“We understand for many young people this will be a very uncertain time, so if you have any concerns, please pop in to have a chat with your youth workers.
