WI’s £500 Gift to Charity

The Pembrokeshire College Women’s Institute was the first workplace WI to be set up in England and Wales. It was formed in 2009 by members of staff at the college looking to socialise with other members of staff during their lunchtimes and at evenings and weekends.

Unfortunately, Pembrokeshire College WI has recently folded and the members decided to donate its remaining
funds to local Hospice at Home charity Paul Sartori Foundation. They have donated £500 towards the range of services for people living in the final stages of a life-limiting illness.

Sara Hannon, a Pembrokeshire College WI member, said: “We chose to support Paul Sartori Foundation as it is a
local charity supporting local people. The work that they carry out is vital within our community.”

Further information on the charity and its services can be obtained by visiting www.paulsartori.org or phoning 01437 763223.
