For the fourth year Pembrokeshire Association of Voluntary Services (PAVS), working in partnership with Carmarthenshire Association of Voluntary Services (CAVS) and Ceredigion Association of Voluntary Organisations (CAVO) has organised the online West Wales Governance Conference, this year taking place during national Small Charities Week from 19 to 23 June, with a daily session taking place from 12 -1pm via Zoom.

They say: “In these increasingly difficult post-pandemic times, effective management and good governance are central to the success and survival of voluntary groups in West Wales. There is increasing pressure on the individuals who run these organisations to meet their legal responsibilities. Now more than ever, it is vital that the sector has the skills and knowledge to ensure its resilience.”

The lunchtime sessions will provide updates on some of the key issues which the Third Sector needs to be aware of and what help is available. These sessions include Safeguarding and DBS checks for your organisation; updates from the Charity Commission; the Knowledge Hub and its free resources; Community Interest Companies and Social Enterprise; and a regional update on what is happening in the future for the voluntary sector in West Wales

This is a free event to representatives from voluntary and community groups.

You can find a link to the full programme, including booking links for each daily session on the Conference’s dedicated Padlet, which you can find here
