Recycle That Tree

Well, that’s that, then. Christmas over for another year and the decorations are coming down all over the county. Personally, I settle for fairy lights and, once in place, they stay up all the year round, so I have no need for the recycling programme that the county provides for that magnificent festive tree that took so long to select and embellish just a few short weeks ago.

This year FRAME and Pembrokeshire council have once again joined forces to provide a Christmas tree collection service. They will pick up the now naked tree from your home, shred it and turn it into compost.

The collection service has already begun, so if you need one, you are urged to book through My Account on the council website or by calling the council on 01437 764551. Request for a service will be available until Friday 6 January 2023.

The council says: “These collections also contribute towards Pembrokeshire’s recycling performance, and we are delighted to have recently been named the top recyclers in Wales for the third year in a row.”
