Local Author Releases First Paperback

Broad Haven resident Richard Baker will sign copies of his first paperback, Corona!, at the Victoria Bookshop, Haverfordwest,  on Saturday 12 November from 10am.

Since retiring in 2012, Richard has spent a lot of time writing. He has five well-reviewed novels on Kindle and has now ventured into publishing a paperback.

The Victoria Bookshop in Bridge Street has supported several aspiring authors over many years. ‘We are pleased to support a local author,’ said bookseller Bethan.

The incoming tide of the corona virus inspired Richard to write the fictional book about a Swansea statistician. Set against the background of corporate greed and the pandemic, it has been described as a wonderful read with ‘romance, intrigue, personal crisis, and suspense’. It is priced at £8.99.

‘I just hope people enjoy it,’ said Richard
