Heartwarming News from Homeless Pembrokeshire

AMANDA EVANS from Homeless Pembrokeshire writes:
We have some great news… Paul was quite insistent that I share his news with you all. He is 45 and has been homeless and sleeping rough for the past six months. Paul also works part-time and, despite living under canvas, he gets up and goes to work.
He rang me feeling very down because he had found accommodation to rent but wasn’t able to secure the deposit and month in advance. I asked him to pop up to the office and before he set a foot in the door we had managed to secure the funds he required.
We only managed to secure those funds because of the generosity of GRS Motors Group based at Priory Park, Thornton, Milford Haven. As some of you may know, GRS Motors is a massive support to Homeless Pembrokeshire and those we strive to help. It provides our van and has helped numerous people since Steve Grimes and I have known each other; it has made a huge difference to the charity and those needing help.
So Paul signed his tenancy agreement and collected the keys to his new home. He now has hope and is already looking forward to Christmas.
We had a few things in stock and have been able to provide an inflatable mattress, tinned food, a kettle, mugs, toiletries and a few household cleaning items to help out.
Thank you so much, Steve and GRS Motors. Paul now has accommodation and although he is a bit shellshocked he is very happy – and that makes us happy too.
