A Very Happy Christmas to You

We hope all Pembrokeshire.Online’s lovely readers and contributors have a very happy Christmas time.

It’s been an interesting year when, certainly speaking for myself, I have discovered that I don’t need to travel all over the county polluting the air with my little car to get enough articles to entertain and delight you.

It has been a challenge at times but last year we managed to keep things going from a hospital bed for four months (Kitty) and the Greek islands (Nigel) so 2021 saw us well versed in Zoomery and Skypery.

Not so comfortable with technology, though, we have had some scary moments when we thought we had lost everything but we managed to bounce back. Particular thanks must go to John Ewart from Datris who ironed out some sticky problems and helped us get back on track. We can’t thank him or the service enough for soothing away our worries.

We think it’s important to remind everyone that we are entirely free. When money comes our way, we aim to pay out a few expenses if we can and to pay for the rights to remain online, publishing an article a day on subjects as far apart as living with health issues to walks in the wilderness, with everything you can think of in between, local news and information, projects and fun stuff to lift our spirits.

What is truly amazing is that it is all read by you.The people of Pembrokeshire and admirers of our beautiful county.

Of course, as proud as we are of keeping it all together, we really couldn’t do it without all of the contributions from you. We thought about listing you all but panicked at the thought of leaving anyone out. We decided to say, with your poems, your stories, your photography, your art… your opinions, your skills or your histories… not leaving out your trials, your loves and your frustrations… we think you are amazing. What a wealth of skills are here in our online community.

Please don’t stop. This isn’t the Nigel and Kitty show. We are delighted that more and more features are being written by you and we think between us we have an online magazine to be proud of.

Pembrokeshire.Online needs you to keep making it the interesting daily read that it is. Contact us if you would like to write for us, have ideas or events or activities we should know about, or if you would like to get more involved. We will be delighted to hear from you at speaktofish@gmail.com
