PAVS (Pembrokeshire Association of Voluntary Services) is seeking enthusiastic, committed people to help run regular oxygen therapy sessions for those in the community living with challenging and painful conditions.

It says: “We have a barochamber through which we are able to provide oxygen therapy in a pressurised environment and also at ground level to a maximum of four people at any one time. At the moment, due to Covid restrictions, we are only able to accommodate two people at any one time.

“You can make a real difference to someone’s life by helping us deliver this very special therapy. Each dive takes approximately two hours and they are available at various times during the week. You will be one of two people responsible for the chamber during each session and will need to be able to follow a set of instructions and communicate clearly with those undergoing the treatment. No experience is necessary – you will receive all the necessary training and have access to support at all times.

“This is a great opportunity to make a real difference to people within the community.

“As much tea or coffee as you wish, friendly place to be and the greatest benefit of all – you actually get to make a difference to people’s lives.

“No formal qualifiactions required. Ability to follow instructions, be friendly, confident and reliable are all that we ask.

“We are at Unit 57, Honeyborough Business Park, Neyland, SA73 1SE, just off the A477 at the roundabout at the top of Neyland.”

It says that volunteers must be over 18 and that some expenses will be paid
