POINT has a new project which, in the current times especially, will be extremely beneficial to young people.

We have a young people’s professional counselling service which has now started.  This is available to all young people who live in or close to the North Pembrokeshire area (we can be flexible on this) who are between the ages of 10 and 25. Visit our website page on how agencies can refer or young people can self-refer:

https://www.pointypt.org.uk/counselling-support-for-young-people/

We also have a befriending/ mentoring service where young people can have support from an older member of the community who has been trained to become a mentor and can provide long-term support with a young person’s emotional and mental health and support with life skills, hobbies etc.

For more information, please contact Lynda Duffill, the volunteer co-ordinator, at lyndaduffill@pointypt.org.uk or call 01348 871887.

We also plan to set up some group support sessions, Mind Matters, for young people with low-level mental health issues who may benefit from a safe, confidential group environment where they can explore resilience and coping abilities via fun interactive games and theatre forum techniques. Although there is no planned group to start yet, we are still accepting referrals into the Mind Matters scheme.

Please get in contact with Hannah Rackham for a chat: hannahrackham@pointypt.org.uk  or call 01348 875467.

The website will be updated very soon to include this exciting new project.

Vacancies are currently available for referral/self-referral so please feel free to use the service as soon as required.

Kitty has forgotten how long she has been here now but she loves Pembrokeshire for its beauty and it's people. She spends her time searching out stories for pembrokeshire.online, swimming in the sea , drawing and painting as Snorkelfish and eating cake. She says "Pembrokeshire.online has been an opportunity to celebrate this beautiful county and its people. Keep the stories coming. We love to hear from you."
