Last Chance for a Free Garden Package

Thanks to Amy LLoyd from Keep Wales Tidy for the following reminder:

Time is running out to apply for free garden packages from Keep Wales Tidy…

Do you know an area in your community that could do with a little TLC?

Applications are still open for Local Places for Nature, but this could be your last chance to get involved as packages are about to run out.

Environmental charity Keep Wales Tidy has already awarded 444 packages to community groups and organisations across the country, and only has a limited number of free gardens left to give away.

To make it as easy as possible for people to get involved, they’ve designed a choice of tailored packages – from small fruit and wildlife gardens to more ambitious food growing areas and rainwater projects.

Each free package includes native plants, tools and other materials. Keep Wales Tidy will handle the orders and deliveries, and its project officers will even provide support on the ground to help you create your new nature space.

Applying is quick and easy – just go to www.keepwalestidy.cymru pick your package and fill out the online form. But hurry, the next – and probably final – deadline for applications is 31 August.
