Nina Makes a Rainbow

Have you been into Haverfodwest recently and taken the roundabout near Tesco? You must have seen the new mural on the garages. That rainbow there that turns into a flock of birds is the work of Nina Camplin, mural and portrait artist, working with the VC Gallery, which is a voluntary charity for veterans and the community through arts and creative engagement. The mural certainly brightens that corner just before you get to the fire station.

Nina at Work

Nina Camplin is a mural artist now living in South Wales, but with close connections with Pembrokeshire. She specialises in trompe l’oeil. She loves to challenge perceptions of space, creating scenes of faked realities, such as windows, doors and broken walls that open up the flat surface of the wall to create an optical illusion of an additional dimension beyond.

Kitty Parsons

Kitty has forgotten how long she has been here now but she loves Pembrokeshire for its beauty and it's people. She spends her time searching out stories for pembrokeshire.online, swimming in the sea , drawing and painting as Snorkelfish and eating cake. She says "Pembrokeshire.online has been an opportunity to celebrate this beautiful county and its people. Keep the stories coming. We love to hear from you."
